Leave the Competition Behind. Whether you are a freelance designer, or head of a multi-million dollar corporation, it is important to stay on top of the cutting edge trends in your industry. In this economy, you can't risk losing out on bids and potential business because you aren't in the know. Having an Accredited Professional on staff can be a highly marketable asset. For example, did you know that all GBCI registered projects that have an Accredited Professional on the job receive an extra point towards the project certification? This easy, single point can be the difference between the project being awarded a Gold versus Silver status. This is just one of many examples of why having an Accredited Professional on staff can give you an edge over your competition.
Signify Your Green Building Expertise. You've worked hard to become educated on green building concepts and strategies. Turn this knowledge into a tangible credential, developed and backed by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Green Associate and Accredited Professional credentials have gained national and global notoriety as the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system becomes one of the most widely used standards for green building and design. Having these credentials after your name and on your resume will help you become a more attractive candidate for green jobs, consulting gigs, and other opportunities in the green building field.
New Directions, New Business. Capitalize on the Green Collar economy. Whether you are looking to start a new career path, or develop new business for your company, accreditation can be a stepping-stone to new contacts and new opportunities for success in the green building and design fields.
Make a Difference in How We Design & Build. Many current methods used in the building industry can be harmful to our planet, our communities, and even our health. Take action towards improving this system, by learning and implementing more sustainable, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient practices. Whether it's developing improved waste management strategies, or spearheading the installation of a green roof, individuals of all skills and backgrounds can play an integral role in promoting and implementing this change.

I found Kim to be very knowledgeable on the class material and her presentation was very good. I think the course booklet could be improved to include better graphics.

Kimberly was great. She kept the course lively and was very personable. Seems like she has a real depth of knowledge in all things LEED.
By Charles S. - Attended class on June 14, 2013
The course was well done and informative.. Kimberly presented the course with charm and humor and did not make it a drudge.
Unfortunately, while the program was certainly well done, I realized that the session did not provide sufficient information to make me feel comfortable with passing the LEED exam. Besides, I do not like multiple choice exams since I spend more time in analyzing the questions.....200 questions 145 minutes to respond!

Very informative and Lynn did an excellent job connecting with us to assure our understanding.

Kimberly was such an awesome instructor. She was energetic and fun. She is extremely knowledgeable and made the class easy to understand.
By Whitney V. - Attended class on June 9, 2013
Great class! The instructor was very comfortable with answering all of our questions she encouraged us to ask. The instructor was very knowledgeable about the information and gave many real life examples of the different ways to earn LEED points on a project. One thing I wish we did was analyze the way the exam asking the questions as in the wording and ways to tell what its asking for. Some of the questions are tricky just simply based on wording. Besides that is was a great experience! I would definitely recommend this class to a fellow designer/architect.

Kimberly is a very good instructor. She was able to get through a great amount of subject matter in one day's time and keep the class engaged.
By Agnieszka H. - Attended class on June 9, 2013
Each participant received a printout of the powerpoint, a pen, and a set of flashcards if opted to purchase one upon arrival.
There was coffee/snacks and lunch served. Frequent breaks in the afternoon ensured alertness of the students.

Knowledgeable, engaging.
The time went by much faster than I expected!
By Michael W. - Attended class on June 6, 2013
She had good positive energy, she was knowledgeable about the subject and interacted well with the class. I enjoyed the fact that she was open with discussions and did not just read from an outline or played videos, she actually taught!

The first hour outlining the course content was slow. This portion can be shorten and the techical portion expanded.
By John A. - Attended class on April 22, 2013
I very much enjoyed the class. The interaction was great; the Instructor was very good. Some of the answers seemed a bit off the charts. Example it's OK to add double the foot print of a building if the existing structural components remain in play. However, when I suggested going up and keeping the same foot print was a better option than covering more land with new structure, I was informed that the Leeds points would not count in that scenario . It was my impression that a large part of the Green Building concept was to minimize the spread of land use and maximize the use of existing structures. Perhaps I misunderstood the question and answer but, I don't think so.
However, it was a great learning experience. Hopefully, I know how to get registered for the exam and where to find the practice questions.

Great instructor, Kimberly explained everything well. I was able to understand the concepts.
By Scott D. - Attended class on April 18, 2013
Kimberly did a good job keeping everone envolved. The pace of the class was good but not too slow that you would loose interest.
By Laura H. - Attended class on April 18, 2013
Kimberly was very nice and made it clear that she is available to answer any questions that we may have even after the course has ended.
By Julie C. - Attended class on April 17, 2013
Jean was professional and lively and had an excellent grasp of the material. She gave us plenty of opportunities to ask questions and have discussions.
My only suggestion relates to the handbook itself NOT JEAN. My handbook was actually missing some content and several pages were poorly rendered.
By Katherine S. - Attended class on April 17, 2013
Jean is very passionate about what she teaches.
I was very pleased and learned something I was completely clueless about LEED. I was volunteered by my General Manager to attend as our hotel is a Gold Leed Seal hotel. Now we needed a rep
Because Jean's passion is contagious, I caught the Leed bug
Thank you!

Class was a little long. It could have been broken down to a 2 or 3 day review. The teacher was excellent with deep interest in her teaching along with being very knowledgeable to things that pertain to the meterial. Overall a great course to take if your looking to pass and have a better idea for what the L.E.E.D green associates is all about.
By Lindsey T. - Attended class on April 16, 2013
Kimberly was good. She's very helpful, and engaging and makes the class as conversational as you can get in a webinar. She answers whatever questions you have, and follows up if she doesn't have an immediate answer.

Overall, Kimberly demonstrated a vast knowledge base in the LEED rating system and conveyed that knowledge with enthusiasm. She has provide the class with the necessary tools and techniques to become LEED GA certified and the next steps to take in order to become LEED AP certified. Kimberly was engaging with her questions and answers and created a comfortable learning atmosphere, through her method of breaking the ice with the class. The next step Kimberly could take is to keep everyone on track with the learning content. It was a pleasure to have met Kimberly and believe she is a valuable asset to the company.
By Sandy C. - Attended class on April 10, 2013
Kimberly is by far, one of the best instructors I have ever had. Her effervescent personality and her enthusiasm about the material kept the students focused. She was concise and she used many meaningful examples to explain and support concepts. Kimberly was also careful not to assume we knew even basic definitions. Quite often she would stop and ask ,"Does everyone know what this means?"... before continuing. I got a lot out of this course and highly recommend both the course and this amazing instructor.
By Darrell H. - Attended class on April 10, 2013
Very knowledge and handled questions professionally.
By Gary B. - Attended class on April 10, 2013
Good environmenht, comfortable, well informed. A 10 hour corse timetable might be better.
By Christopher M. - Attended class on April 10, 2013
I found the course to be very informative, so much so that it was a bit overwhelming, though I believe that was more an issue of the make up of the class participants than anything else.
I would recommend the class in the future for others in my company.
By Antonio G. - Attended class on April 8, 2013
Excellent.
By Michael Devin G. - Attended class on April 8, 2013
This was a great refresher from my sustainability engineering courses in college. It took a textbook worth of material and crammed it into two days worth of information that is relevant to the LEED GA exam. Perfect.
By Jarett C. - Attended class on April 8, 2013
Overall it was very good. Could have used more review question time.
By Lawrence P. - Attended class on April 6, 2013
Lisa did an exceptional job. Not only did she prove to have a command of the material, but she also added interesting and relevant examples from her own professional experience. Each day was paced perfectly. Her warm and inviting style dissolved the digital barrier between us and made me comfortable with the format.
