From improved quality of the outdoor air, to promoting biodiversity and providing open space, this course reveals the benefits of implementing a green roof on a building project. Students will be introduced to the topic of why green roofs are beneficial to the environment and an owner's economic bottom line. The course will also discuss strategies and technologies associated with green roofs, as well as different types and the benefits and concerns with each.

Instructor missed opportunities to interact with class participants on several levels. Instructor was knowledgable about subject but the webinars are more interesting when participants there was only 5 of us can comment on what we know about green roofs and if we have had any experience with them.

This was well conducted webinar. Tiffonie's presentation was very good. She had lots to discuss but due to the time limit class was completed within the time frame. However she has displayed her email address and mentioned that she will be available and if any questions she will lookinto them.

The course was informative and well paced. The presenter did a great job conveying the material. There was a small technical clitch when trying to show a video but she was prepared and had a quick solution.

Meet Your Instructor

Tiffonie, a licensed architect, has been actively involved in Green Building for over 20 years. She holds a BFA, BArch and a MArch II specializing in sustainability. She was part of the founding team for the Los Angeles Chapter of the USGBC and was also an elected board member. Previously, she was Chair for the AIA Portland's Committee on the Environment. Tiffonie also loves to race her bicycle and enjoys pedaling up the long, sometimes steep, hills in her hometown of Portland, Oregon.

Certifications: AIA, LEED AP BD+C, ID+C
